Allegheny West Plaza
Philadelphia, PAAllegheny West Plaza is a catalyst for revitalization in North Philadelphia. What was once an area plagued with urban blight is now a state-of-the-art apartment building that seniors call home.
Inside the affordable senior living community, residents and guests step into a lobby with a water wall of live plants. The 45 one-bedroom apartments on the second, third, and fourth floors feature fully equipped kitchens and LVT flooring throughout. WaterSense plumbing fixtures, and energy-efficient appliances and lighting meet the Energy Star and Enterprise Green Community Requirements.

We’re like a family here; everyone gets along. Compared to other places I’ve lived, it’s five stars here.
I’ve become a smarter and better person living here. I enjoy being around people my age, and it’s a quiet area.
Residents, who describe the community like a family, gather together in the community room, which features a kitchenette, or on the roof deck on nice days to enjoy fresh air. Each elevator landing also provides seating and floor-to-ceiling windows.
Seniors appreciate the convenience of a laundry room and trash room on each residential floor, on-site property management offices, a mail area, bike storage, and on-site parking spaces. To keep the building safe and secure, there is an access control system at the residential entrance, a security surveillance system, and an automatic sprinkler system.
Community Lenders provided financing for the three affordable living floors. Allegheny West Plaza’s first floor is retail space and includes a pedestrian plaza outside. The building is within walking distance of grocery stores and restaurants, plus it’s adjacent to a SEPTA bus station for easy transportation and access around Philadelphia.
