GALA Senior Housing

This four story building was built by Conifer Management LLC, a for-profit, nationally recognized affordable housing developer, BCM Affordable Housing and Mt Airy Baptist church. A 1/2 acre of land in the West Oak Lane section of Philadelphia owned by Mt Airy Baptist Church was leased for a $1 a year for 99 years to the three entities to build the Golden Age Living Accommodations (GALA) for seniors.  Community Lenders financed the long term portion of this development, consisting of 50 units of low-income senior housing awarded through PHFA.  The  building also has a suite for the social service provider and a health/wellness center, leasing/management office, maintenance shop and a furnished community room
