A large number of school properties were recently closed by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. St. Alice School in Upper Darby was one of them. Thanks to Nolan Properties, the former school and community center were purchased, gutted and converted to 53 units of affordable senior housing for seniors aged 62 and older.
The site enjoys easy access to Upper Darby’s well known 69th Street shopping corridor, many services, and multiple modes of public transportation, making it an ideal location for seniors. The development is complemented by a rich program of on-site supportive services, which will include case management, health services, recreational activities, and 24 hour security.
