We work primarily with agencies that already serve low to moderate-income individuals. Examples of recent loans are grouped by category then by most current loan first.

Housing Loans
Community Lenders was able to provide 1260 Housing Development Corporation (1260 HDC) with 2 loans in December 2009 that helped finance the purchase of 2, 3-story buildings in the Northeast neighborhood of Philadelphia. 1260 HDC will be able to provide low-income residents with physical and mental disabilities with 57 affordable home unit opportunities. Community Development Loans
NorthStar Property Corporation of PA was able to refinance a loan on a building that houses the administrative offices for NorthStar Youth Services. NorthStar Youth Services provides a community home program for dependent children. Children are provided with counseling and other services, attend public school, and are encouraged to participate in school activities. When possible, the agency also facilitates the return of children in their program to families or relatives. At the time of the loan, there were 68 youths between the ages of 8 and 17 in the community home program. More Community Development Loans.

Mixed-Use Loans
A newly constructed 4-story building in Coatesville, Pa., is home to low-income seniors, thanks to 24 apartments, and several social services agencies. The Brandywine Center represents the first major construction in the heart of Coatesville in over 30 years.
