The NewCourtland at Allegheny Campus in North Philadelphia serves a community of seniors with low incomes and diverse levels of physical and healthcare needs. In addition to the apartments on the campus, there is a LIFE Center. A LIFE center seeks to support as many seniors as possible in their own homes via a comprehensive package of medical and home care services delivered in home or at LIFE Care Centers, where medical services, physical therapy, meals and other supports are available.
What was once the site of an abandoned factory, now sits new apartments which allow seniors to live independently and age in place.
NewCourtland Elder Services is the supportive services provider and the property manager. This project has added to NewCourtland’s current inventory of over 500 independent living apartments for low income seniors in Philadelphia.
